107 UN Peacekeepers in Cyprus Awarded with Medals
The UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (Unficyp) awarded UN medals on Monday to 107 peacekeepers from eight countries, coming from Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. Unficyp was established in 1964 following intercommunal conflicts between Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
