Cyprus' fisheries authority reports that approximately 145 tons of invasive pufferfish (Lagocephalus) have been caught from Cypriot waters over the past two years. The control program against this aggressive invasive species runs until December 2029 with a budget of 1.304 million euros, with 70% financed through EU funds.
