15,800-year-old dogs in Anatolia buried like humans
Researchers have discovered some of the oldest known domestic dogs in central Turkey, dating back approximately 15,800 years. The excavations in Anatolia and England show that these dogs were buried similarly to humans, indicating a close early bond between both species. The study was conducted by the university and provides new insights into the early domestication of dogs.
