162 million euros for landfills – oversight committee calls those responsible to account
With a rate of 65 percent household waste landfill disposal in Cyprus and landfills at their capacity limits, the state announced interim measures worth 162 million euros. The parliamentary oversight committee has now opened investigations into those responsible for the chronic waste management crisis and uncovered problems of fragmentation in waste management.
