190 Million Border Crossings at Cypriot Checkpoints
Since the opening of Cypriot checkpoints in 2003, over 190 million border crossings have been registered. According to data from journalist Cenk Mutluyakali, analyzed for the Turkish-Cypriot newspaper Yeni Duzen, 190,281,960 crossings were recorded between April 23, 2003, when the first checkpoint at Ledra Palace opened, until today.
