2,500-Year-Old Prince's Grave with Chariot Excavated in Italy
Archaeologists discovered a monumental grave complex from the sixth century B.C. in Sirolo (central Italy) that provides insight into the powerful elite of the Piceni from over 2,500 years ago. During rescue excavations supervised by the Archaeological Superintendence, burial objects including a chariot and Greek artifacts were found. The discovery sheds new light on the ancient cultures of the region.
