20 Years of MLC 2006: Cyprus's Contribution to International Protection of Seafarers
The Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 of the International Labour Organization (ILO) celebrates its 20th anniversary as the most comprehensive international framework for the protection of seafarers. The agreement continues to be called the 'Charter of Seafarers' Rights.' The general secretary of the transport union SEK acknowledges Cyprus's significant role in implementing and developing the agreement.
