3.1 million unemployed people in the EU found new jobs
According to Eurostat data, 3.1 million unemployed people aged 15 to 74 in the EU found employment between the first and second quarters of 2026, while 7 million remained unemployed. The 3.1 million new hires represent 23.2 percent of all unemployed persons from the first quarter of 2026 and indicate positive developments in the European labor market.
