3.7 million euros lost through fraud cases in Cyprus
According to the Central Bank of Cyprus, the total value of payment fraud in the second half of 2025 rose 16 percent to nearly 3.7 million euros, although the number of fraud cases declined by 5 percent. Approximately 14 incidents were registered in total, indicating significantly higher average amounts per case.
