400,000 Lebanese Return to the South
Approximately 400,000 people displaced from southern Lebanon by the war have returned home, with additional returnees expected in the coming weeks, the Minister for Social Affairs said Tuesday. The return is enabled by a four-week ceasefire in the four-month conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. About one million people had been forced to leave their homes since March.
