45-Year-Old Citizen Released from Northern Cyprus After Fine
A 45-year-old citizen of the Republic of Cyprus was released on Thursday after being arrested by occupation authorities at the Agios Dometios checkpoint. The so-called 'military court' in occupied Nicosia sentenced her to a fine of 273 euros for incomplete border crossing procedures. The arrest occurred because the woman had not properly completed a transition arrangement from the occupied to government-controlled areas.
