57-year-old arrested while attempting to bring migrants across the Green Line
Cypriot police arrested a 57-year-old man who attempted to transport two young foreigners from occupied to free areas. The suspect was stopped during a checkpoint in the villages of Athienou and Kossia on an unpaved road. The operation was conducted by the border control unit against illegal migration movements across the Green Line.
