60-Year-Old Defrauded Through Fake Oil Stock Investment
Police in Paphos are investigating a case of online fraud. A 60-year-old man received a call in early June 2026 from an unknown Russian-speaking woman who convinced him that he could invest in oil stocks. The man was persuaded to transfer 50,000 euros, subsequently lost a further 14,000 euros, and filed a report with the authorities in Paphos.
