€610.9 million plan for rebuilding Cypriot livestock sector
The head of the special commission for restoration and restructuring of livestock farming, Professor Stavros Malas, presented a comprehensive plan with an investment of €610.9 million. The recent foot-and-mouth disease crisis has not created new problems, but has dramatically exposed existing weaknesses in the system. The plan envisions a new business model and structural reforms for the sector.
