70 cemeteries restored through bicommunal project
A total of 70 cemeteries in Cyprus are currently being restored in a joint restoration project between the two communities. The project aims to strengthen trust between Greeks and Turks and preserve the cultural sites from vandalism, fanaticism, and the ravages of time. Sotos Ktoris, co-chair of the bicommunal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage, emphasized the significance of these cemeteries as victims of destruction.
