900 Million Euro Budget Surplus as Protective Measure Against Inflation
Cyprus expects a budget surplus of 900 million euros, equivalent to 2.3 percent of GDP, to combat inflation pressure and rising cost of living. This emerges from the semi-annual fiscal policy report for 2026, which also contains forecasts for the strategic budget policy framework 2027-2029.
