AI cameras for mobile phone use and seatbelt violations planned
The Ministry of Transport has released a draft law for public consultation that would enable AI-powered cameras in cities to detect drivers using phones or not wearing seatbelts—without first needing to identify speeding or red light violations. The ministry is working with police on the installation of such stationary cameras.
