AI Reconstructs Face of Pompeii Victim
Archaeologists have used artificial intelligence to reconstruct the face of a victim of the Vesuvius eruption of 79 AD in Pompeii for the first time. The digital portrait shows an elderly man who was one of two victims discovered during the latest excavations in the ancient city. The AI reconstruction makes it possible to bring historical remains to life in entirely new ways.
