AI System Detects Diseases from Eye Images in Seconds
A new artificial intelligence system called Reti-Pioneer can detect signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other diseases within seconds by analyzing retinal images. The study was published in Nature Medicine and represents a significant advance in using simple ophthalmological images for faster multi-disease screening.
