Air Freight Industry Under Pressure from Fuel Costs and Middle East Conflict
Global air cargo demand fell 4.8 percent in March compared to the previous year, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). International air cargo demand declined even 5.5 percent, while freight capacity decreased by 4.7 percent at the same time. Disruptions at major logistics hubs are being triggered by increased fuel costs and regional conflicts.
