Air Traffic Controllers Demand International Safety Measures in Cyprus FIR
The European coordination of air traffic controller unions (Atceuc) and the Cypriot air traffic controllers union (CYATCU) are calling for urgent international and European high-level measures to address safety risks in the Nicosia air traffic control area. The appeal follows a near-collision between a Turkish military aircraft and a civilian aircraft, as well as concerns about insufficient coordination between the Cypriot aviation authority and Turkish authorities.
