Air Traffic Controllers Warn of Turkish Military Jets Without Flight Plans Over Cyprus
The union of Cypriot air traffic controllers warns of routine Turkish military flights in the Nicosia Flight Information Region (FIR) without flight plans or direct communication with Ankara. This poses a significant safety risk that air traffic controllers must manage daily. The warning was raised in a joint session of Parliament's Defense and Transportation Committee.
