Airlines Increase Baggage Fees Due to Fuel Costs
Airlines are raising fees for checked baggage in response to increased kerosene prices caused by military escalation in the Middle East conflict. Aircraft fuel costs have doubled in some cases. While European airlines have so far only partially passed these costs on to passengers, they are now increasingly seeking additional revenue sources through extra fees.
