AKEL calls for progress in Cyprus talks
AKEL chief Stefanos Stefanou called on Tuesday for progress in resolving the Cyprus issue, after the meeting between President Nikos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman on Monday ended without substantial breakthroughs. The AKEL party reaffirmed its position that further negotiation steps are necessary on the basis of already achieved convergences to bridge existing differences.
