AKEL criticizes wreath-laying for 1974 coup perpetrators
The left-wing party AKEL protests against the decision by the government, DISY and ELAM to lay wreaths at the assailants of the Presidential Palace during the July 15, 1974 coup. AKEL argues that laurel wreaths are only befitting true heroes and criticizes that no other modern state would make such gestures toward coup perpetrators.
