AKEL Demands Explanations for Prison Guard's Dismissal
The Cypriot party AKEL is demanding explanations from the Justice Ministry and the Central Prison Authority for the dismissal of trade unionist and prison guard Yiorgos Maltezo. The party raises the question of whether the dismissal respects trade union freedoms and announced it will address the issue in Parliament.
