AKEL warns of housing shortage - rents up 30-40%
The left-wing party AKEL denounces a critical housing crisis in Cyprus, as rents have risen by 30 to 40 percent over the last five years. Based on EU Commission data, AKEL General Secretary Stefanos Stefanou stated that the island needs approximately 43,000 new residential units to meet rising demand.
