Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant to Begin Operations by End of 2026
The first unit of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant is in the testing phase and is expected to begin operations and produce electricity by the end of 2026. This was reported by Turkish newspaper Sabah citing statements from Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktarr. Work on the three additional reactor blocks continues in parallel.
