A scientific study shows how a 9th-century eye doctor significantly influenced the development of Western medicine through translating ancient Greek medical texts into Arabic. The scholar contributed to preserving and reinterpreting medical knowledge from antiquity. The research was led by Dalal H. Al-Zubi and published in the journal Cogent Arts & Humanities.
