Ancient Greek City-States: Underestimated Actors of Civilization
The article examines lesser-known ancient Greek city-states such as Thebes, Argos, Corinth, Rhodes, as well as Ephesus and Miletus, which played a significant role in the spread of Greek civilization. While Athens and Sparta dominate historical accounts, these smaller city-states are often overlooked, despite having substantially contributed to the development of the ancient world.
