Ancient Macedonian city of Amphipolis had sophisticated water system
Archaeologists have gained new insights into the hydraulic system of the ancient Greek city of Amphipolis, one of the most significant cities of ancient Macedonia. The water system enabled the city to maintain stable water supply for more than a thousand years. The international research group has completed a new phase of their investigations, contributing to a better understanding of ancient engineering.
