Ancient marble basin reveals early Christian baptism practices
A 1,300-year-old marble basin excavated at a Byzantine church in northern Israel provides new insights into early Christian baptism practices. The artifact was discovered in Susita National Park, the site of the ancient Greek city of Hippos, which was once a significant Christian center east of the lake.
