Ancient philosopher Porphyry: Life between paganism and Christianity
The ancient Greek philosopher Porphyry of Tyre (ca. 234-305 A.D.) was one of the founders of Neoplatonism and a defender of Hellenistic paganism as well as an advocate of vegetarianism. His writings were burned by Christians who rejected his positions.
