Ancient rock art provides new insights into the extinct Tasmanian Tiger
Newly documented ancient rock drawings in northern Australia provide fresh insights into the long-vanished Tasmanian Tiger and its presence on the Australian mainland. Also known as the thylacine, the Tasmanian Tiger was a striped, dog-like marsupial that once lived throughout Australia. The animal later disappeared from the mainland and is considered largely extinct today.
