Ancient Saka Burial Site Discovered in Kyrgyzstan
Archaeologists have uncovered a group of ancient burial mounds and a large stone enclosure in a rescue excavation near Cholpon-Ata on Lake Issyk-Kul. The burial site in Kyrgyzstan is dated to the early Saka period around the 8th to 6th century BCE.
