Ancient Scholar Theophrastus Regarded as Pioneer of Weather Forecasting
The Greek philosopher Theophrastus (ca. 372-287 BC) from Lesbos was a student of Aristotle and could be considered one of the first weather forecasters in the world. His work "On Signs," written in the 4th century BC, represented the first attempt to systematically collect and present weather science in a book.
