Ancient Shipwreck Off Calabria Reveals Greek Trade Routes
A shipwreck over 2,400 years old containing more than 300 amphorae was discovered off the Ionian coast of Calabria. The find offers rare insights into maritime trade between Greek colonies of Magna Graecia in southern Italy. The wreck was identified during survey operations off Monasterace in the Province of Reggio Calabria.
