Ancient sunken city Aenaria rediscovered after 2,000 years
Almost 2,000 years after the volcanic eruption that submerged the Roman port city of Aenaria beneath the sea, divers and archaeologists are slowly rediscovering the sunken city. The ruins, buried under volcanic sediment, lie off the coast of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples.
