Ancient theater discovered on Lefkada - first site in the Ionian Islands
Years of archaeological excavations have uncovered the ancient Greek theater of Lefkada in the Ionian Sea. It is the only theater discovered so far in the Ionian Islands and is described as the region's most significant monument. The Greek Ministry of Culture called the discovery a milestone for archaeological research.
