Androlykou quarry loses protected status as green area
The quarry in Androlykou receives approval for expansion and is thus removed from the status of protected green zone. The new quarry site will cover almost 50,000 square meters and will use 315,000 kilograms of explosives. Environmental activists criticize the decision regarding its impact on fauna and flora.
