Appeal Court Increases Sentence in Child Abuse Case to 10 Years
An appeal court increased the sentence from seven to ten years imprisonment on each of 48 counts of child sexual abuse. The decision was made on June 30, 2026, after the Attorney General filed an appeal arguing that the original sentence was too lenient given the severity of the crimes.
