Archaeological discoveries in Brazil: Artifacts of Amazonian indigenous people found
During archaeological excavations along a highway in the Brazilian state of Amapá, artifacts of the indigenous population of the Amazon region, which lived there long before European colonization, were discovered. At nine excavation sites, ceramic vessels emerged that likely served as grave goods, as well as small carved objects with human facial features.
