Archaeologists have discovered ancient salt production facilities from the Bronze and Stone Ages in North Korea, dating back approximately 5,000 to 5,500 years. The excavation site in the Woneup Workers' District in Onchon County, Nampo, includes salt deposits and boiling installations for salt production.
