Archaeologists Discover Ancient Obsidian Tools in Peru
Researchers have uncovered two large obsidian tools at the coastal site of Cerro de Oro in the Cañete Valley in Peru and traced them to the Quispisisa obsidian source in the highlands. The find suggests trade networks that extended beyond the borders of the Wari Empire and provides new insights into prehistoric trade routes.
