Archaeologists Find Evidence of Forgotten Roman Battle
A new archaeological study suggests that Roman soldiers at the Ambleside fortress in England's Lake District repelled an attack, based on ancient sling projectiles found at the site. The study, published in the journal Britannia, provides fresh evidence regarding a puzzle that has remained unsolved for more than a century.
