Artificial Intelligence Could Replace Animal Testing
Scientists in Europe are combining artificial intelligence, human cells, and mini-organs to predict chemical damage and reduce the need for animal testing. Approximately 150,000 animals, predominantly rats and mice, are currently used annually in the EU for safety testing of everyday chemicals. This new technology could represent a turning point in animal protection.
