Astronomical Structure Discovered in Peru – Caral Civilization
Archaeologists in Peru have uncovered a complex architectural structure with astronomical observation function at the Áspero site. The discovery was announced by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture. The site belongs to the Caral civilization, one of the oldest known societies in America dating from approximately 3000 to 1800 BCE.
