Athens: Airport Plans Phased Expansion with 950 Million Euros
Athens Airport is revising its expansion program following a 4.5 percent increase in passenger volume in the first half of 2026. Between January and June, 15.75 million passengers were handled. The airport plans a phased approach that could ultimately increase capacity to over 40 million passengers per year.
