Athienou bread and Loukoumi receive EU protection status
Two traditional products from Athienou – local bread and Loukoumi – have taken a step closer to EU protection status. Cyprus submitted applications on September 25 for both products as Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) to the European Commission.
