Athienou Bread and Wedding Loukoumi Seek EU Protection
The Cypriot Ministry of Agriculture has submitted applications for the registration of Athienou Bread and traditional Wedding Loukoumi as Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) with the European Commission. Both products have successfully completed the national examination phase. The ministry expects a positive decision in 2027.
